What is BoardMob?

BoardMob is a web app for running football squares with friends, family or coworkers. The host sets up a 10 by 10 board and shares one link. Players claim squares from any phone, with no account and no app to install. BoardMob tracks every square and shows the winners as the host enters the Q1, Q2, Q3 and Final scores. It does not handle money.

How one square wins

After the numbers are drawn, every square is a pair of digits. At Q1, Q2, Q3 and Final, the last digit of each team's score points to exactly one square.

Final scoreboard: Home 19, Away 27. Rob wins the Final. Kayla won Q1, Andre Q2 and Sam Q3.
  1. 19Home finishes with 19. The last digit is 9, so read along row 9.
  2. 27Away finishes with 27. The last digit is 7, so read down column 7.
  3. 9 · 7Row 9 and column 7 cross on Rob's square. It wins the Final, and every phone on the board shows it.

How do football squares work?

A board has 100 squares on a 10 by 10 grid, one side for each team. Players claim squares, then each row and column gets a random digit from 0 to 9. At Q1, Q2, Q3 and Final, the last digit of each team's score points to one winning square. See how football squares work

What are Super Bowl squares?

Super Bowl squares are the same game, played for the Super Bowl. BoardMob runs a board for the big game the same way it does for any other football matchup. BoardMob is an independent app and is not affiliated with the NFL.

Do players need an account or an app?

No. Players open the link, add their name and tap the squares they want. It works in any modern phone browser.

Yes. BoardMob can also be used for other games that fit the same four-period scoring format.
